Yehuda Prokopowicz Piano Concert

Helena Modrzejewska National Stary Theatre in Kraków

All conference participants are invited to a special concert by artist Yehuda Prokopowicz. Tickets will be available at the conference office on the day of the lectures.

The number of tickets is limited.

Piano recital by a young and exceptionally talented pianist from Kraków Yehuda Prokopowicz, a semifinalist of the 19th International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, where he also received the Special Prize for the Best Performance of Mazurkas.

The concert programme brings together two distinct musical worlds – the classical clarity and elegance of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s music and the Romantic language of Fryderyk Chopin. The Chopin section will feature, among other works, the Mazurkas, full of poetic subtlety and a distinctly dance-like character, as well as the monumental Polonaise in A-flat major, one of the composer’s most recognisable works.

Yehuda Prokopowicz received his musical education at the city’s renowned music schools, making this performance a particularly fitting celebration of both a remarkable young artist and the city that has shaped his musical journey.
